Childrens Support Worker
We are seeking compassionate individuals for children’s support worker jobs in Ramsgate, providing essential care to children and young people in residential and supported living settings. - Provide high-quality care and emotional support to children and young people, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Build positive relationships with the children, offering guidance, encouragement, and support in their daily activities.
- Assist with personal care, meal preparation, and educational support where needed.
- Support children in achieving their personal goals and independence.
- Work collaboratively with social workers, teachers, and healthcare professionals to ensure a consistent approach to care.
- Maintain accurate records of the child’s progress and any concerns, following safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Participate in activities, outings, and therapy sessions designed to promote the children’s development and social skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Driver essential (40p per mile expense paid)
- Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs or emotional and behavioural difficulties, is desirable.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent is preferred.
- A passion for supporting children and young people, with patience, empathy, and resilience.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- A valid UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
