We are seeking compassionate individuals for children’s support worker jobs in Ramsgate, providing essential care to children and young people in residential and supported living settings.   • Provide high-quality care and emotional support to children and young people, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Build positive relationships with the children, offering guidance, encouragement, and support in their daily activities.
  • Assist with personal care, meal preparation, and educational support where needed.
  • Support children in achieving their personal goals and independence.
  • Work collaboratively with social workers, teachers, and healthcare professionals to ensure a consistent approach to care.
  • Maintain accurate records of the child’s progress and any concerns, following safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Participate in activities, outings, and therapy sessions designed to promote the children’s development and social skills.

Key responsibilities:

  • Driver essential (40p per mile expense paid)
  • Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs or emotional and behavioural difficulties, is desirable.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent is preferred.
  • A passion for supporting children and young people, with patience, empathy, and resilience.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • A valid UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
